Homestays
Our school-arranged homestay program offers a unique cultural and language experience. For this option you need to be 15 years of age or older. All Homestay placements are carefully selected to ensure they provide a safe and welcoming environment and are audited on a regular basis. Students are closely monitored to ensure their health and wellbeing during their stay with Australian families and no student is placed with a Homestay family who has not already been thoroughly vetted by the school including ensuring a Working with Children Check is held for all members of the household over the age of 18. A school representative visits the homes of our homestay families every 6 months to make sure the accommodation is safe, comfortable and of a high standard. All Victorian government school homestay families provide: · a safe, secure, welcoming place to live · a household compliant with the Child Safe Standards · a separate single room for your personal use · three meals a day, seven days a week, including snacks · facilities – a bed, wardrobe, towels and linen · utilities – gas, electricity, heating and water costs, internet · cleaning services of common living areas · the use of living areas within the residence |
